“The vibrant networks sparked among Research Management (RM) professionals, as part of the RM Roadmap project, serve as a dynamic platform for fostering relationships and engaging in lively discussions on contemporary RM matters. The thematic ambassadors reach out to Research Managers beyond national boundaries. At the national level, RM Roadmap initiated reflections on the national RM networks and activities. The RM community in Finland is well organised and represented in its national association Finn-ARMA. Apparently, the open and volunteer-based national association allows Research Managers at all career levels to be active in development of the RM profession. The high trust of the community in Finn-ARMA combined with the advanced stage of RM in Finland might have influenced broad engagement of individuals in past co-creation sessions on the RM Roadmap online platform.

The published reports on mapping of national networks are excellent knowledge sources providing insights into the diverse structures supporting the RM profession across Europe. The face-to-face meetings of RM Ambassadors have been instrumental in forging strong connections with RMs in various regions. A testament to this is the pre-event meeting of the RM Ambassadors from the Nordic and Baltic countries in Lisbon. Lately, the RM Roadmap Ambassadors in the Nordic-Baltic region met regularly for online coffee breaks – initiated by Olaf Svenningsen. The foreseen knowledge base on training and networking opportunities for Research Managers is truly needed and most welcome. It's an exciting time to be part of this thriving community!”
